'Richard II', Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
2019

Pollard was invited to be the production photographer for William Shakespeare's Richard II. Adjoa Andoh and Lynette Linton direct the first ever company of women of colour in a Shakespeare play on a major UK stage, in a post-Empire reflection on what it means to be British in the light of the Windrush anniversary and as we leave the European Union.
Read an interview with the production's lead actor and Director, Adjoa Andoh here.

See Shakespeare's Globe website for more details and videos around the production here.

Here is a nice piece by Jackie Kay, 'Richard II and me: my friend Adjoa Andoh was born to play the king', Guardian, 2019.
