And Back to Northumberland
Next to Northumberland with the Hexham Photography group and artists for workshop at 'Watersmeet' near Hexham. We explored ways to capture the image produced inside the camera obscure, drawing, photography and multiple layering. We also worked with the Claude lenses around the terrain.
At last saw I images of moving water of the rivers and burns were as fabulous as we hoped. Weather was fabulous !! Alocal kayaking group beached right in front of our viewfinder

Visual Arts and the Rural Community (VARC) October 2012. Artist in Residence.
- " Ingrid Pollard arrived at Highgreen to a spell of glorious autumn sunshine. Ingrid is an artist trained in photography and film with a background in drawing and printing who has exhibited widely in this country and abroad. Continuing interests and themes in her work are portraiture and identity, belonging and heritage and exploring and questioning the romantic landscape idyll and England’s hidden histories associated with Africa and the Caribbean.
Recently Ingrid has been working with ceramic, etching, audio and video. She is interested in the technical aspects of photography, exploring its chemistry and basic constituents as well recognising it as a means of expression and a social tool. At Highgreen Ingrid is hoping to make a camera obscura ". -
