Near and Far 2002 - selected images

A young man crouches, his pose focused and alert as he gazes at something beyond the frame.
The photograph show us things about how the world is composed, the world of Lindisfarne, the Northumberland coast and the Farne Islands; the strangely particular state of things at any moment. There is interest in the evidence of human habitation and fabrication, the isolation of objects and attention to fine detail; nature made bizarre by the microenvironment of the Islands.
